It’s off to the races again on Jan. 9! The exciting horse race season is about to begin at Oaklawn Race Track, and we’re so excited for the very full calendar up ahead.
The races happen every weekend from Jan. 9 until the Arkansas Derby on April 11, 2015. The Arkansas Derby is the final race of the Racing Festival in the South, which draws in thousands of racing enthusiasts from all over the world. On Jan. 10, Oaklawn will officially kick off the season with its annual Corned Beef Day; you can enjoy corned beef sandwiches for 50 cents and soft drinks for 10 cents. It doesn’t get better than that!
As an added bonus for 2015 guests, Oaklawn’s updates are finally finished. To thank the public for its patience during renovation, Oaklawn is waiving general admission fees for the 2015 season. Plus, the expansion means that there are more games in the casino, and a new bar & grill for guests to enjoy as well. Oaklawn is ready to celebrate the completion of their project, and they’d love for you to take part in that joy!
